Greenhill Hotel

Everything was just perfect. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff were amazing, really friendly and helpful. When the WiFi was not working for my Zoom meeting, the owner went out of his way and lent me his own computer so that I could lead my training. He even adapted the hotel restaurant menu so that I could have dinner based on my religious dietary requirements. Pauline at breakfast was really helpful and gave me tips on where I could buy sandwiches etc whilst travelling in the area. Hotel management even boostee the wifi strength during my time there, as that's the only issue that I had whilst at the hotel.

Stayed in late October for a visit to the Lake District. Pros: Really nice room, love the atmosphere and the coordinated curtains and cushion covers. Room was warm enough even without heating on. The views were amazing. The restaurant dinner (not included in booking) surpassed our expectations and I'd highly recommend it to everyone. We had the sirloin steak and the lamb rump and both were delicious. Breakfast was decent (included in hotel booking). Staff were lovely. We also loved seeing the hotel cat and the highland cows. Cons: There were some plumbing issues with the shower water, but the staff member did kindly explain the issue before we got the room. That being said, the shower water was quite weak. The main entrance was a bit difficult to find for us as there was an ongoing boxing event on our arrival day, and most of the directions were pointing towards the boxing event entrance (including one sign stuck on the main entrance door directing us to the event entrance, which was why we missed it). During breakfast and dinner hours you could smell the cooking fumes in the bedrooms upstairs which we weren't a huge fan of, but the smell did go away eventually. The hotel is quite isolated from other villages/towns so I assume it's only accessible by car. Overall would recommend, especially the restaurant. We would likely come back for dinner!

Went here for food, when we were turned away from other local establishments in the area who weren't serving, food was lovely and the dinning room is very high class. Would definitely go again.

Spent 3 nights here. Just absolutely lovely. Rooms are clean and spacious. Bed is very comfortable. Staff are all lovely and helpful. Brilliant location too. Not too far from the Lakes and Carlisle. And our little dog was very happy with his scrambled egg and sausage too. Highly recommend

Had the pleasure of capturing another amazing wedding here on Sunday. As always the staff were absolutely fantastic. The hotel as a whole is beautiful from the building to the inside and the surrounding areas in the property. Would highly recommend the Greenhill hotel for any function.
